How to Check an OnlyFans Agency in the US, UK, Canada or Australia (2026)
Short answer: before you sign with an OnlyFans agency, look up the company that will sign your contract in the official register of the country it says it is based in. In the US that is the business search of the state where it was formed, in the UK Companies House, in Canada Corporations Canada or the provincial registry, and in Australia ABN Lookup and ASIC. It takes five minutes and is free. Of the 70 agencies on our ranking based in these four countries, only 32 (46%) name the company behind them, on their own site or in a public source we could find.
This guide is for creators in the US, UK, Canada and Australia. It walks through the register check for each country, the tax basics that change once an agency takes a share of your earnings, and the agencies from each country on our ranking. All figures come from our own listing data and update automatically when a listing changes.
Agencies by country: what they publish
"Company named" means the agency's website or an independent public source names the legal entity behind the brand. "Active in the register" means we found that company in the official register and its status was active when we last checked. Positions are each agency's overall rank among all 134 agencies.
| Country | Agencies listed | Company named | Active in the register (our check) | Publish a rate | Top 3 on our ranking |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| United States | 34 | 20 | 5 | 13 | OnModelStudios, FantasyRise, Scissorzz |
| United Kingdom | 25 | 7 | 7 | 6 | TalentGrow, Model Fans Management, P&P Agency |
| Canada | 3 | 0 | 0 | 0 | Voxy MGMT, Fiora Management, Akita Agency |
| Australia | 8 | 5 | 4 | 1 | Blue Rose Talent, OnlyFans Management Australia, OzFans |
The check that works in every country
- Get the company name in writing. The contract is signed by a company, not by a brand or an Instagram handle. Ask which legal entity signs, and its registration number.
- Look it up in the register. Check that it exists, that its status is active, and that the name matches the contract exactly.
- Compare the dates. An agency that says it has worked with creators "for five years" but was registered last month is not necessarily lying (some trade first and incorporate later), but ask about it.
- Check who stands behind it. Some registers show directors or owners; others don't. Where a register hides owners, ask the agency directly who runs it.
- Keep everything. Save the register page as a PDF on the day you sign.
United States: state registers, not a national one
There is no single US company register. A company is formed in one state and appears in that state's business search, run by the Secretary of State (Florida's is Sunbiz). Search the exact name from the contract, then check the status (active or inactive), the formation date and the registered agent. 20 of the 34 US-based agencies on our ranking name the company behind them.
Wyoming, New Mexico and Delaware LLCs are popular because they don't list their owners publicly. That is legal and common, also among honest agencies, but it means the register can't tell you who you are dealing with, so ask.
Tax basics: as a US creator your OnlyFans income is self-employment income, and the agency's commission is a business expense, so keep every invoice. If you pay individual chatters or an agency that is not a corporation yourself, the threshold for filing a 1099-NEC rose to $2,000 for payments made from 2026 (it was $600). Ask a tax professional how this applies to you.
United Kingdom: Companies House
Every UK limited company is on Companies House, and the search is free. Besides status and registered office it shows the directors, the people with significant control and the filing history, so you can see whether the company files its accounts on time. 7 of the 25 UK-based agencies on our ranking name the company behind them; 7 of them were active when we checked the register.
Tax basics: OnlyFans income goes on your Self Assessment. The £1,000 trading allowance covers very small side income; above that, the agency's commission is an allowable expense (you can use the allowance or claim expenses, not both). You must register for VAT once your taxable turnover passes £90,000 in twelve months.
Canada: federal and provincial registers
Canadian companies are incorporated either federally (search Corporations Canada) or in a province (for example the Ontario Business Registry, the BC Registry or Quebec's Registraire des entreprises, which also lists directors). If you can't find a company federally, try the province on the agency's address. 3 agencies on our ranking are based in Canada; most Canadian creators also look at US agencies, which work the same hours.
Tax basics: report OnlyFans income as self-employment income; the agency's commission is a deductible expense. You must register for GST/HST once your taxable revenue passes $30,000 over four consecutive calendar quarters (the small supplier limit).
Australia: ABN Lookup and ASIC
ABN Lookup is free and shows whether an Australian Business Number is active, the entity name behind it and whether it is registered for GST. A company (Pty Ltd) is also on the ASIC register. An agency that invoices you from Australia should quote an ABN. 5 of the 8 Australia-based agencies on our ranking name the company behind them.
Tax basics: creating content as a business means you need an ABN, and you must register for GST once your turnover reaches $75,000 a year. The agency's commission is a deductible business expense.
What if the agency is abroad?
Many creators sign with an agency in another country. That is fine; the check is the same, in that country's register. Our US, UK, Canada and Australia lists show each agency's checks, and every review page has its own evidence table with the register entry where we found one. For the contract itself, read what an OnlyFans agency contract should say and the red flags worth walking away from.
This guide is general information, not legal or tax advice. Rules and thresholds change; check with an accountant in your country before you rely on them.
Frequently asked questions
How do I check if an OnlyFans agency is a real company?
Ask which company signs the contract and its registration number, then look it up in the official register of the country it is based in: the state business search in the US, Companies House in the UK, Corporations Canada or the provincial registry in Canada, and ABN Lookup or ASIC in Australia. Check that the status is active and the name matches the contract. Of the 70 agencies on our ranking based in these four countries, 32 name the company behind them, on their site or in a public source.
Is an OnlyFans agency's commission tax deductible?
In the US, UK, Canada and Australia, OnlyFans income is generally self-employment or business income and the agency's commission is a business expense you can deduct, so keep every invoice. In the UK you can use the £1,000 trading allowance or claim expenses, not both. Check the details with an accountant in your country.
Why do so many OnlyFans agencies use Wyoming or New Mexico LLCs?
Because those states don't list owners publicly, and forming a company there is cheap. That is legal and common, also among honest agencies, but it means the register can't tell you who runs the agency, so ask them directly and get the answer in writing.
